Coalescence

Coalescence is an endurance film that celebrates a modular, non-narrative approach to film exhibition. The project is a distillation of my in-camera and montage techniques from around 2014 - 2024. I took extensive instructional notes during this period which allowed me to compile a sort of recipe book. Over the course of several years this project has morphed and changed drastically. It was a film that required being lived within for it to take shape. The project exists in multiplicity of mediums including: a multi-channel installation, feature film, abbreviated film, performance, and instructions. It’s soundtrack was made by Matthew Stinis, Habib Bardi, and Ghazi Bena.
